| Registration | Sandra Fontaine, absent: Laura Nagy reported that all race applications are being entered into Active.com. The club is working on getting all race forms format the same for easier entry. The races that have already been set up in Active will stay as they are. Any future race entered into Active.com will be setup with no additional cost to the participant. The $2.00 Active.com fee will be absorbed by the club. The club is encouraging as many participants as possible to enter online as it is easier for registration purposes. |
| Clothing | Ian Thomas: Ian reported that ARR will have a booth at the Phoenix Time 10K race. The club will be selling clothing, have membership forms and different race application available. |
| Equipment | Mark Bellm: Mark reported that the clock bases need to be repaired. The club had 3 clock bases but at the present time can only find 2 clock bases. |
| Special Events | Louis Bolivar, absent: No report. |
| Newsletter | Adam Hunt: Adam reported that the club will going to a new format with the next newsletter. |
| Bylaws | Marty Michelson, Chairman: Marty reported that the Bylaws Committee will be meeting on Sunday, November 20th. It was decided that we also need to have a Policies and Procedures Manual along with the Bylaws. |

| AIA Cross Country Finals | Jim Burgess: Jim reported that the race was a success. He reported that the Club only timed the 5A Boys and Girls Races. This race was held in Anthem. Next year AIA is looking at ARR timing all AIA Cross Country Finals. Jim also reported that on Saturday, November 20th ARR will be hosting the Border Wars Race. It is the race that involves Arizona, Nevada and New Mexico. Each State will send 25 boys and 25 girls to compete against each other. |
| Thanksgiving Day Classic | Ed Duba: Ed reported that the race course would be slightly different than in the past. He reported that he has gotten the permits for the race. They have increased the number of buses from 3 to 5 buses this year. The goal is to get everyone registered by 8:15 and races started on time. Laura Nagy reported that they have about 700 runner registered at the present time. Ian Thomas passes around the design of the race T-shirt. |
| Desert Classic 30K | Chris O’Laughlin: Chris reported that he is working on getting the permits for the race. He would like to donate part of the proceeds to the Hospice of the Valley. The Board agreed. |
| Other Races | Laura Nagy: Laura reported that she has Directors for the races coming up in the near future. |

| Officers and Other Club Business |
Jim Burgess: Jim reported that he asked both gentlemen that were running for Treasure at
the ARR elections if they would be interested in serving at Treasure. Both said that at the
present time they would be unable to serve. Jim said that he asked Robert Huotari if he would be
interested in serving. He said he would take the position. He said he would be unable to attend
the November Meeting as he is teaching a class on Wednesday evening. Motion made to approved to
appoint Robert Huotari as Treasure. Motion approved. Jim also reported that at the Club is back in the black. The Club has all its bills paid and money in the bank. |

| Life Memberships | Jim Burgess: Jim reported that he would like to rescind all Life Memberships. Life Memberships should not be based on years on Board but what the person has contributed over the years. The person’s name should be submitted to the Board and voted upon by the Board. There is one person who purchased a Life Membership which will stay. Jim will write a letter to all other Life members stating that their Life Membership has been rescinded. The Life Members will be informed that their Life Membership will be honored thru the end of the year. If they would like to remain a member, they must pay for a membership by the January 1st, 2005. If they would like to become a Life Member they must submit a letter to the Board requesting Life Membership, stating their reasons and qualifications to the Board. The Board will consider each request individually. |
| Championship Chip Conference | Jim Burgess: Jim reported the Champion Chip Conference will be held in January in Vancouver Canada. He reported that the Club will be sending 2 people to the Conference. He stated that he and Ed Duba will be attending the Conference. He asked steve finkelstein, but steve declined. The membership felt it is important to send people to these meeting to learn as much as possible. The attendees are to report back to the Club after the Conference what was covered and learned. We need to stay informed. |
| Good of the Club | It was decided that all future meeting will start at 7:00pm instead of 6:30pm. Also the Club would like to rotate the meetings around different parts of the Valley. If you know of a meeting location is your area, please contact Jim Burgess. |
