relationship with ARR and its members. Road Runner Sports will offer clinics, free meeting space for ARR
club meetings, and a starting locale for road races. Road Runner Sports is also interested in having a
presence at ARR races and providing volunteers. The Board thanked Ms. Stanton and Ms. Seare for their
interest in ARR and noted the Club’s desire to provide more club events in the east valley.

South Mountain Classic in her absence.

Recap of Summer Series No. 5: The Board discussed what worked well and what can be improved for next
year.

Elections: Those board members intending to run for another term signed declarations of intent. There
was discussion about filling vacating positions and the need to reach out into the membership to get more
members involved.

Water: Since the Watermill Express deal fell through, the Club has been looking for a reliable,

after canvassing local water vendors. He found that none offered a price that was acceptable to the club. The search will continue.

Desert Classic 30K: A location in Gilbert was investigated for this race but it has fallen through. The
club is now seeking to hold this race on the Salt River Pima Maricopa Indian Community’s land in the east
valley. The logistics, as well as the pros and cons of this race route were discussed. steven
finkelstein will proceed with the permit paperwork to have the race held on the tribe’s land.

Mazatzals Race: steven finkelstein reports that Honey Albrecht and Debbie Leftwich will be directing this
race this year.

NEW BUSINESS
Crown King Scramble: The board discussed a proposal from Jeremy Graham of DCB Extreme Sports to direct
this race. Several questions were presented, which will in turn be sent to Mr. Graham.

to members.

Cell phone for the van: The state of the Van was discussed and the potential benefit of having a cell
phone for the van in case of a break down. Bill Rowell will investigate price plans and report to the
board.

Meeting adjourned at 7:45 PM.
