Guest Ken Hopes requested race timing information for a future "Veggie Run" for the Farm Sanctuary
group.

Louis Bolivar discussed permit issues and supplies needed for Summer Series #5. He offered
additional information about ARR’s involvement in training runners and walkers for The Race for the
Cure 2005. Bill Strachan from AZTECH Training will address our group Tuesday night at GCC. Louis
made a motion that was seconded and approved to compensate miles driven to conduct club business at
the rate of 37 cents per mile. It is noted that this compensation will be by personal choice and
members may elect to not receive compensation if they so desire. Another motion was made and
approved to secure two hotel rooms for one night in Jerome Arizona on 9/4/05. These accommodations
are for workers at The Jerome Hill Climb. Louis also indicated a need for assistance with water
distribution and transportation of water for Summer Series #4 and #5. Water Mill Express will again
supply water. Discussion followed concerning the possible need to rent a van to transport the water.
The Club vehicles are over capacitated with equipment needed for the races.

Sandra Fontaine reported a current bank balance of approximately $6000.00 and $1500.00 ready for
deposit. Once again The Board reports that a bylaw amendment was initiated to replace the office of
Treasurer with a financial committee headed by Robert Huotari.

The Board also reports that long time club member and runner Guy McIntosh. Recently passed away and
left in his estate a very generous monetary gift to The Arizona Road Racers. Jack Pierce made a
motion that was approved to deposit this money into a separate account and establish an emergency
contingency fund. Discussions followed considering means of representing Guy McIntosh at future
club events and activities.

John Greer, race director of the 2nd Annual Cactus Cha Cha trail events is requesting advertising
assistance and the Board is asking editor Adam Hunt to structure a plan.

Ian Thomas and Sandra will formulate a complete job description for our office employee.

Jack Pierce reports the 911 Run/Walk is a go for ARR to time and stage at Steele Indian School Park.
Jack will also arrange porta johns for SS#4.

Christopher O’Loughlin proceeded with work on establishing our race schedule for the remainder of
this year. All scheduled events will appear on our site.

Phil Davis and Sandra will continue to finalize permits and insurance for SS#5 at Victory Lane
Sports Complex on 8/6/05.

Meeting adjourned at 9:10 P.M.
