from the Diamond Club is now in a 7 month CD @4.25% interest. The Desert Classic Marathon generated
$1000.00 after expenses and donations. The 2005 financial report will be available at the next
Board meeting.

PRESIDENTIAL REPORT
President Steve welcomed the new Board members: Frank Cuda, Norm Janoff and Burke Painter. The
revised web site is progressing. Membership increased by 14 in February.

CLOTHING REPORT
Ian reports moderate sales with the new clothing lines. Old inventory items are dwindling and new
designs will soon replace them. The 2006 Summer Series shirt design is near completion.

OLD BUSINESS
Discussions and reviews continue regarding new membership applications, and a motion was made and
approved to initiate a minimal membership price increase suggested by the Race Committee. This
increase will become effective October 1, 2006. A motion was made and approved to donate $200 to
The American Cancer Society by sponsoring a team for The Relay for Life at Peoria Sports Complex on
4/29/06. Earlier discussions about honoring Guy McIntosh resulted in an approved motion to commit
a timing chip in the memory of Guy to be worn by random runners at club events. A timed result for
Guy McIntosh will always appear in our results. Another motion was approved to donate $200 from
profit generated by recently timing a race for The City of Goodyear to the American Heart
Association. Logistics were discussed relating to delivery of our timing equipment and rental fees
for the Ironman Arizona Event. Timing of the YMCA Ahwatukee Foothills event was addressed and the
Cheetah Run.

NEW BUSINESS
The future racing calendar was discussed and numerous new events are going to be timed by ARR.
Summer Series 2006 will again permit High School athletes to run for free in addition to Middle
School runners as long as their coaches submit a pre registered roster and signed waivers.
This year we will offer packet pick up at The Runner’s Den (with Rob Wallack's agreement). Thanks in
part to a grant from The Diamond Club young runners age 17 and under who pre register for our
Thanksgiving Day Classic will also run for free. Steve is speaking with Perry Edinger regarding
medical personnel at our events and Burke Painter suggested listing our events on the Fire
Department calendars. Frank Cuda has agreed to do all course certification for the club.

RACE COMMITTEE REPORT
The Race Committee suggested February 4, 2007 as the date for our Desert Classic Marathon event and
mentioned eliminating the full marathon and contesting a marathon relay instead in
addition to our other distances. Monique Coady presented valuable information regarding legalities
and wording of race day waivers. Hal Gensler is continuing research and possible changes to be
made. Crown King Race director and all around nice guy Gary Culver reported 133 finishers in this
year’s event and accepted the race directorship again in 2007. The Board would like to thank and
recognize everyone who made this year’s event such a success.

Meeting adjourned at 8:40 P.M.
