amended.

TREASURERS REPORT
Hal reported a current bank balance of approximately $26,000. He will obtain the fifth $5000 CD for the
club bringing the CD total to $25,000. Hal presented the Board with the monthly income and expense report
and stated the January business meeting cost the club $185 including tip.

MEMBERSHIP REPORT
Norm reported a total membership of 1668 and stated we have a turn-over of nearly 50% of our members in
a given year. He said, "it appears we do a reasonable job of attracting new members, but retaining
existing members seems to be one of our biggest challenges." Norm is willing to lead an ad-hoc committee
to brainstorm ideas pertaining to membership retention and club members are welcome to volunteer for his
committee. An outstanding demographic compilation showing current membership by Arizona cities and other
states provided by Hal Gensler was presented to the Board.

CLOTHING REPORT
Sharon Ross remarked that clothing sales at the Rock N’ Roll expo were brisk. She also reported clothing
sales from South Mountain Classic through this Board meeting totaled $2802. Outstanding work Sharon.

REGISTRATION REPORT
Sandra Louise reported on current registration for the Desert Classic Marathon and made this announcement
for the membership. Beginning with Summer Series 2007, registration will close 15 minutes before the
start of the event. NO EXCEPTIONS. This action represents the only fair way to permit volunteers and
working Board members to compete.

VOLUNTEER REPORT
Our efficient VP Lindsay with the thankless job of acquiring volunteers did a great job giving out our
volunteers of the year awards at the January Grand Prix awards and business/social meeting. Volunteers
at our events remain the most important facets to successful events. Their unselfish efforts will no
longer be overlooked as evidenced at the awards dinner.

OLD BUSINESS
Attendance at the January awards meeting totaled 45. Beautiful awards were presented to all Grand Prix
age group winners and $100 gift certificates to the overall male and female winners. David Bluestein has
created outstanding awards for the Desert Classic Marathon. Thanks David! Newspaper advertising pricing
was again discussed.

NEW BUSINESS
A unanimous vote to elect Diane Bailey to the Board as VP of food was recorded. Thanks to Diane for her
efforts to date and welcome. Kurt Leon has expressed interest in the directorship of club activities.
Family style social activities every other month such as bowling, softball and others were discussed.
Christiansen Trail Run next year will also include a 4 mile event. A motion was made to enter into a
monthly advertising agreement with GetSetAZ for the year beginning in March and received a unanimous yes
vote.

Meeting adjourned at 9:00 PM.
