2009 7th Annual ARR I-Did-A-Green-Run |

The Arizona Road Racers presents its first ever GREEN race! In this day and age, we feel it's more
important than ever to lessen our impact on the environment. With your help, we can make this race a
success and perhaps begin a new trend. This GREEN race will feature the following:
- Grab bag t-shirts from previous races will be given to each entrant.
- One raffle ticket will be given for each pair of old running shoes brought for donation. There
will be a raffle following the race.
- Recycling bins separate from trash. You may have noticed these at some of our previous races;
please be sure to throw items that can be recycled (aluminum cans, plastic bottles) in the recycling
bins and trash in the trash bins.
- A beautiful course away from traffic so that you can enjoy the natural surroundings as you run.
Some things you can do to make the race even greener (if you'd like):
- Carpool to the race.
- Avoid listening to music as you run. Instead, enjoy the sounds of nature!
- Bring your own water bottle to run with.
If you are a current member of the club, your entry is free if you register by August 29, 2009
Voting for a new Board of Directors will also take place at this race. The 10K is a part of the 2009
ARR Grand Prix Series.

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS: Race day registration at Reach 11 Horse Lovers Park, 19226 N. Tatum Blvd.
in Phoenix, begins at 6:00 AM at the start line area. The park is in between the Loop 101 and Union
Hills on the westside of Tatum. The 5K and 10K begin at 7:15 AM. The 1-mile fun run/walk begins at 7:20 AM.
